Friday, we got the new 8.5lb spring in. The truck felt great, but it was running out of fuel on the top end while tuning when heading out to the track.
So, once at the track, we installed the 5psi spring.

Even on 5psi, we had some great results. The new converter dropped me into the 13's at 13.9 @ 98mph.
If I had the fuel setup for it, the 8psi spring would have put us in the low mid 13's, it felt strong!

The bad thing about this truck, it takes a while to learn. I had to revert back to the 5psi spring tune, from the 8psi tune, so the retune started the whole learning process over.
First run was a 15.4, second was a 14.2, then finally a 13.9, I think after a few more passes, a 13.6 on a cold day.
I'm going to SD tune this one, on the top of third, I get a surge and the truck slows down, probably costing me about 2mph. I'll get it tuned, then head back out there when we head up North.
Is that a 1/4 mile or 1/8, hope it's a 1/4mile track.

I may have some by then too.

see ya,
allen

That truck is going to fly once you get everything tuned in.

It's doing decent, I can't create too much boost off the line or it will sping the tires, but for now it's a 2.12 60'.

I'll get a vid of the truck doing a burnout on the street, lol, it's too funny to see an AV smoke through 1-2nd.

see ya soon,

Thanks guys, it feels real strong for a big truck.

It's setup for flex fuel, so it has 38lb injectors already, just enough for 5psi, still on the edge though. The 8psi spring caused the injectors to max out at 145% duty cycle, which is basically, the injector open all the time. I don't want to go overboard on this truck, so I'm sticking with 5psi.
I'm shooting for low 13's on slicks, 5psi and more tuning.

thanks,
allen

There's aset of bigger injectors in the back seat of my truck. Put 'em in. I'll trade 'em for tuning and dyno time.
