First...is it a high compression 6.0L (LQ9 or LS2) or a low compression (LQ4). That will make a big difference on how much boost the motor can take. On a stock motor, I wouldnt push it too far past 550rwhp. I've seen a lot of 600+ HP motors completely gernade that were running stock internals. If you do want to push it, invest in some ARP rod bolts. That is by far some of the cheapest insurance you can buy, and is rather quick to install if the motor is out of the car.

If you have tons of cash (10,000+) then go for the W2W kit. If you want cheap, but what works, then the STS would be perfect. I don't believe Cmotorsports ever actually released their turbo kit, but I could be wrong. Another cheap turbo kit is the Livernois Turbo Kit. Full tubular headers and still rather cheap. I beleive around 5,000 with a turbo and air to air intercooler.

I won't tell too much, but I just talked to my buddy who I sold a crate 6.0L to, LQ4.
He pulled everything out of his truck and installed the Livern turbo, harness and pedal assembly (2003 SS) onto the engine dyno.
Bottom Line: 712HP @ 16psi!!!!
Completely stock engine, except for the cam and turbo of course.

That is awesome!

He ran his other 6L for a long time before the meth ran out and it broke.

later,

I think it'll come down to preference. I turbo running about 5psi, will be very similar to the head and cam combo. In the end, the turbo will make more than the other engine, NA, but it'll be a lot of stress on the engine. Not enough to break it right away, but it'll shorten the life. The NA engine should run a bit longer, but it depends how you drive the two also, just too many factors.
The turbo should have better drivability, nice torque, but there's really nothing like a h/c cam big cube engine.
Either way will make some nice power!

good luck,
allen
