If you buy a PCM with a corvette VIN will HPTuners let you change it so you can write an F-body VIN to it? I found someone to change VIN's for $15.00 but was hoping HP tuners would do it.

no you would have to have the license for both the vette and the fbody.

Also, the way you would change it then is just do a full rewrite of an OS from whatever car you are putting it into, the vin has to match the OS (ex. Silverado vin can only be used in a silverado OS)

Cool! That will probably work. The F-body PCM I have was programmed from fastchips Ed Wright for the porsche 911 and the Corvette PCM for the 914 is stock. Do you think I can save my stock 2002 F-body bin from my motor and use it's parameters on the Fastchips PCM to put back in the porsche 914?

If I get what your talking about yes. Are you talking about saving the fbody pcm on your comp and just copying the values over to the fastchips file and uploading the fastchips file to the porche 914.

Yep, you got it chrisj6! Looks like this will be the cheapest option.
