    the cam in question is 226 226 585 585 112, do you think i will gain anything from it??

    Hell ya you&#39;ll gain bro&#33; It&#39;ll probably be a little choppy though and you might want to put a stall in it if you haven&#39;t already.

    Yeah it will pick up power.
    Comparing your 223/225-114 to a 226/226-112

    1. Added 6* of overlap @ .050&#39;&#39;
    2. Intake lobe&#39;s size will increase cylinder fill. At .200&#39;&#39;, you&#39;ll be adding 8* of duration.
    3. Exhaust lobe is larger. Increase in top end.

    What is 51? LOL
    The only numbers I could come up with after looking at it a while.
    Subtracting your .050&#39;&#39; duration from the .006&#39;&#39; gives a value of 51 on both the
    intake and exhaust side.

    Intake: 274* - 223*
    Exhaust: 276* - 225*

    Some use this to get an approximation of the acceleration of the lobe. Lower
    numbers indicate a faster ramp rate as the lifter travels the cam lobe pushing
    the valve open from .006&#39;&#39; (opening) to .050&#39;&#39;.

    The 226 profile has a value of 49*... XE-R lobes are pretty &#39;quick&#39;.
