Not to steal your thread but what is a rough estimate of how much it would be to put like 4.10s and a posi or mini-spool into a 3500 1-ton?
Peg leg and pansy gears suck, its just starting to pull when get past the speed limit and the LS-1 is just tempting me to keep going and get into trouble.
1 ton, 4600 pounds, 14.3@94mph any questions?
you put that motor in a 3500 1ton????

ls1 in a 1 ton, damn, that's a first,
for gears, it's gonna run you about $200 for labor (depending on shop and is you have rear disc brakes) and about 170 for good gears (you can find them for 99$ , but you get what you pay for) and the posi is about 400$, so add that up, it's a lot , but in my opinion, it's one of the first mods you should do, having no traction is fun for only a little bit, until you start getting spanked by slower cars cause of no traction.
