I got my 6L swap done last night finally. I swapped in another 4wd trans too. I missed my VSS wire. Any idea what its close to? Also, I have a few lights on which I'm sure are from the VSS.
Also, it shifts from 1-2 good, but wont shift 2-3 what gives? The code scanner says shift solenoid, but could this also be caused by the VSS? Thanks

I had my vss go bad, the truck wouldn't shift unless I brought the rpms up very high and let off the throttle.
Get that fixed and I'm sure your shifts will be fine.

Glad you got it straightend out. Hope I didnt send you on awild goose chase. The color combo on the wires I posted was wrong. There are only 2 speed sensors bolth have the same 2 Pin Blk plug. The front one is the ISS it is Red/Black, DK Blue/WHT.... The one farthest back is the OSS it is PPL/WHT, LT GRN/BLK. I would just double check the proper wires are in there locations. I had one last week that was doing the same thing not down shifting and acting funny in 3rd. It was the VSS on the tail shaft... But this was also a Dodge Dakota to...
