Lights and Gauges Issue LS Swap

So we got my truck finished and running, a few little things. My builder wasnt able to get my lights, ( headlights, lamps, inside, gauge cluster etc.. ) working. he said I needed my old harness.. So what I have is a c1500 91 454 SS with a semi built 6.0 and customer harness. How can i get power to those things so i can have light and heater, I know some people said some of the gauges still wont work but I just need power.

Many have done this and got all the lights and gauges working.
You will need the chassis harness for sure for lights.
    Engine harness can be removed.
Wiring from the new engine harness can be used to tap into some of the old harness.
You will need the old sensors and senders for the gauges.

Basicslly that's how it kind of works.

Okay so I need to get an old computer and harness, will any computer and harness from the c1500 works or does it have to be a 454 SS harness because thats what I had before?

    Thank you

No old computer needed. The wires for the tach, water and oil pressure go straight to the cluster. The speedo is the vehicle speed sensor to the new computer then to the cluster. As long as the new computer is programmed for the correct gearing and tire size it is pretty simple.

To clarify. Old engine harness, meaning the connector pigtails for each sensor you need, in order for the gauges to work
