    01 lq4 in 98 2wd tahoe wiring help

Ok as titel says a 01 lq4 with an 01 2wd trans and a 0411 comp. Do i need the stock fuse-box from the 01 that the computer was removed from. I have the complete engine wiring harness but that's it along with the complete motor pullout?

You can keep your original vortec harness and just add a few wires. Pm lextech and see if he will email you his wiring file for the swap. It is very easy and painless.

Well i actually have the complete pullout, wiring harness, computer and all that the only thing i do not have is the fuse box. The tahoe that i have was a project from someone else so the wiring has all been disconnected from the fuse block but i still have it all. I had thought about just running a new 21 circuit wiring harness and removing the factory wiring in the tahoe.

No you don't need that. If you keep your original l31 harness you'll just have to add a few wires and extend a few more. Then it will lay in the engine compartment the way it should and does now. The new computer will be in the same spot as the old one and you'll just repin it to the new computer. I did use the wires I would have needed to add and extend from the donor harness so there wasn't any cutting and splicing. I didn't like the way the donor harness is routed, the l31 is much cleaner.
Even if you don't do it this way you still won't need the fuse box from the donor.
