    Cowl hoods

Any one have a 3"+ hood on there truck? I'm trying to decide between a 2" or 4" carbon fiber jobby. But I cannot find any pics of a 4" hood on a GM truck. I would even consider a 3", my old truck ( pics posted somewhere on here ) had like a 2-2.5" steel hood on it. I wanted a bigger hood on my 4x4, but I don't think my 2wd will like right with a giant 4" hood. I don't want it to look goofy like those young kids make there " hot rods " look. All hood and no motor haha. Any pics and info would be great!

ive got a 2-2.5 steel that i think your talking about. i think it looks just right. gives an aggressive look but its not too insane like the 4 inchers or more. my opinion is to stick with the 2 inch if its a daily. i personally like the subtle kinda look. i would only go 4+ if you really need the space due hi rise mani or whatever or if its a drag truck (for intimidation purposes ahahahaha) but i personally believe anyone should do what THEY LIKE to their car cuz your going to be the one driving it. if you dont like it, its gonna bug the hell out of you everytime your behind the wheel!! good luck!
Like Tumbler in "Gone in 60" I'll drive anything with wheels or without

Oh I was picturing older body style... I personally wouldn't do any sort of cowl on an 06 front end... thats what I have on my truck. Already kind of looks like cowl hood... if you add another one on top it might start looking like the beginning of an Aztec pyramid!

My old turbo truck had a 2.5" steel job, and it always looked small to me. I don't know if it was an optical illusion being 4x4 and lifted and my rcsb is lowered will probably change the aspect ratio of how the hood is viewed from the drivers seat. But it is very hard to find a 3" hood ( is what I'm ideally looking for, it's in the middle ) start posting up pics of your hoods.
