Thread: a Bigger tranny cooler

    Is there a bigger tranny cooler for my 02 silverado? i still have the stock cooler behind the grille
    Horsepower and Torque is nothing without Traction

    Not sure here if you want to replace your stock unit or supplement it

    Anyhow, you got a pretty big field to pick from. The B&M #70264 is a pretty popular choice. It's a complete kit and uses barb type fittings. B&M also makes them w/ AN type fittings if you prefer that. Some others are Derale, ATI, Be Cool. You can even get then with a small pusher fan, which is pretty trick.

    Whatever way you decide to go, make sure it has a low pressure drop capability.

    im looking at that tru-cool and the b&m too. the price on the b&m is alot more attractive to me but that tru-cool is huge!

    it's a big un!! but they do have smaller ones on the site...i started to go with na smaller one but since i dont have a tranny temp guage i figured i should go big and dont worry bout it....im gonna take the tranny completely off the radiator...the cooler has a thermostat to keep it warm...

    im thinkin i should go big so when/if i ever get a 3000 stall i wont have to do it again. i was guna order the b&m last week but then i checked the tires on my truck and figured out really quick what my next mod is for some reason new tires isnt as exciting as a bolt on or looks upgrade

    I can't remember exactley what size my B&M cooler is but i know its the ones that they have available for RV"s I wanted the biggest one I could fine, and I mounted it in the front of the radiator behind me bowtie. Looks pretty cool and it gets alot of air, you will fill more comfortable with the added insurance of the big tranny cooler.

    that tru cool that bud posted is the biggest tranny cooler that i know of

    Hmmm. I like that thermostat bypass deal w/ the Tru-Cool. The B&M doesn&#39;t have that, and that sucker has alot more surface area than the B&M.
