Do a search but I think most go with the TransGo, servos, and a big tranny cooler at least.

Please Please STAY AWAY from B&M They are worthless!!!, I put one in my truck an '03 Silverado 1500, 4.8 4l60-e tranny, and now I am rebuilding my tranny. I ordered the kit from a very reputable place in stl, and they even called B&M (Break and spend your Money) They sent us a kit, and we installed it.
1. They first said we did it wrong. *Right me and my buddy about 20+ year building highperformance vehicles.
2. They said oh well check the holes. *True, they sent us the wrong gasket!!
3. Then I raised hell and found out talking to about 20 people at B&M and finally getting to an engineer that oh that kit won't work in your truck, it is for 97-2001, not like the kit advertised 97-and up!!!!

B&M is good for one thing pointing fingers and pissing you off.

Go to www.4l60-e.com and order the transgo, I just got mine in the mail with my K19 Master Kick butt kit, and the seperator plate is all i ordered since the kit includes everything else you would ever want, the instructions just with the seperator plate ROCK!!!

Good luck and feel free to call me with questions

I also am running a B&M shift kit and Vette servo for about 6000 miles. With zero issues even with my stall, but there is a lot of people who dont like the kits. And trust me I'm hell on a transmission.hahaa But there is a lot of people that go with Trans-Go and everybody likes there setup. I probably wait until my next trans and try to the Trans-Go to see the difference. I would also add a tranny cooler to, I ordered the biggest one I could fit on front of my truck. Heat will kill your transs.

Apparently the B&M shift kit for the 4L60E is for '93-'01, so it makes sense that your '99 would be fine w/ it.

It's interesting, since there have been no "major" changes to the 4L60E since model year 1999. Maybe the PCM program/version for '02 and above is the possible issue

I've noticed in another post or two that you plan to upgrade to an '02 PCM. You may want to make sure that the B&M shift kit will be okay for that. Not saying there will be a problem, just might want to confirm it for yourself

One vote here for the Transgo PSK or HD-2 (same thing, just different packaging). Just got mine done a couple days ago (FINALLY!&#33 and it's very nice. Will be posting some details later this week on things I did, didn't do and possible gotchas.

Just wondering what pieces the B&M kit includes. Improved boost valve, 1-2 shift valve, springs, accumulator mods, plate, etc, etc????

My truck is a 02 I got a new 4L60 in 04, and installed the Shift kit and servo right after I got the new trans installed at my local chevy dealer. But like I said I have not had any problems what so ever. Maybe I'm kind of luckyy but I know one day this trans is going to meet its doooom. hahaa

Slamalamadingdong is correct, except there are some differences in the in the valve body, I just finished the K19 kit and the transgo seperator plate explains everything. The B&M has you plug a whole that is not plugged on the transgo, I would definatly use transgo. They seem to understand the 4l60e better. Good luck!!
