    243 or 317

    Ok I'm looking at some heads, which would be a better choice for a 2000 6.0 220 cam, LTs, LS2 intake? Found some 317s off a 6.0. Or I found a set of 243s off a 5.7

The 243's have a little smaller combustion chamber so you will get some bump in compression and they flow a little bit better than the 243's.

With 243s and an LS6 cam(i would go bigger) you essentially have an iron LS2. Defiantly the way to go unless you plan on a crap ton of spray or boost.

I'm not planning on spray or boost, it's just a budget build, so far I have an 04 extended cab, built trans, 6.0, LTs, LS2 intake. For 1700 invested.

You already have the 220 cam? A 6.0 will laugh at that cam. It's WAY too mild IMO. You could run that cam on the stock converter no problem...oh and 243s all the way!
