1994 Silverado 4.3 V6 to LSX swap complete

So far so good with my swap, I have about 800 miles on it and I have to contribute alot of it to the help from those on this site, just thought I'd post some pics of my swap, truck started life as a base package 4.3 V6, it had been in a hail storm sometime back and still has the dents from it, for now it's a nice hot rod to run around in and looks good from 20 feet away, during the swap we lowered it with a
DJM 4/6 kit, donor drivetrain is from a 05 model avalanche, I swapped over to the cable drive throttle body to make things more simple. I bought my harness from nelson performance,fan harness and comp program by them also, if anyone has any questions about the swap feel free to ask, I took some closer detail pics
on the a/c bracket and fuel line setup to give those who may be working on a swap, I could not be happier with how this swap turned out, 2 thumbs up to this site and 2 thumbs up to Jon at Nelson Performance!!

Did your factory Y pipe bolt right up to the new exhaust manifolds? If not what did you have to do? Thx

No, I just bolted up short pieces of the stock pipe coming off each manidfold, they saved them for me here at a local yard so that I'd have enough to bolt in my 02 sensors, The drivers side was right against the frame, the exhaust shop took the stock piece of pipe off the manifold and made a cut on the backside of the pipe, reinstalled it back on the manifold and used a bar to bend it away from the frame, then took it back off and patched the opening with some scrap exhaust, he was actually pretty creative and it looked good when he was done with it, from there it's a true dual setup with X pipe section and bassani mufflers and bassani tips

I am sure you know but that nipple on the radiator is threaded on the inside.

I noticed some are threaded and some are not, just my luck that mine is not threaded

Nice swap - I'm thinking about doing the same with a 96 4.3... how long did it take you once you had the majority of your parts and what was your biggest challenge that you didn't expect?

I have a 94 silverado with a 4.3l and im looking to put an ls1 from a gto in it, and i would like to full exhaust/cam it. what trans, driveshaft, and rear end should i use? plz help.
