    Possible broken bolt

While removing stock manifolds from the Tahoe, I noticed the stock manifold was missing back bolt on passanger side near the # 8 spark plug. After removing manifold completely and and checking head I see there appears to be a broken bolt in hole. Don't know if this came from factory like this or broke somewhere along the way. Don't know how hard it will be to try to get easyout in there and try to work it out. Does anyone have any advice?

When I put headers on my truck I noticed that the back ones on each side were broken off.. I left them in there so now I got the headers on it without the back bolts and I don't have any exhaust leak..

They Do break off easy. I would not run w/ it broken like that, just a matter of time till it eats the gasket. I usually weld a nut to it and back it out with a wrench. I've given up on easy outs, they break too easy.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

I don't have access to a welder. So I guess I will hopefully have space to get an easyout in there. Don't want to have leaks..

If welding a nut doesn't work for you just pull the head and take it to a machine shop. The easy out will break off trying to remove it in the truck.

Great news I went out and purchased the Pro Grabit. http://www.homedepot.com/buy/tools-h...it-129125.html
This thing actually worked. I removed the plastic wheel well for access & Once the easy out was removed from broken bolt. The Pro Grabit pulled the broken bolt from block on the first try. Headers are now installed. I still need to install y-pipe and may need to modify oil dip-stick mounting bracket.
