Whats up; new owner of a 2005 Silverado Performance edition 6.0 2wd. Less than 1000 miles on the truck so far, and I have just ordered the STS turbo kit with the GT67 turbo upgrade. I'm going to try and get base et's this week so I have a before and after comparison... cant wait to see what this does for my truck..

Are those trucks 1500 or 2500. I have not heard of any 1500 2wd swb 1500 with 6.0L if they are that is a good starting platform to build yourself a badasssss truck. Your getting yourself some good go-fast goodies. That truck come with 4L80 or 4L60. Welcome to the forum man.

Yeah the truck is rare around here; its a 1500 2wd. Its funny because when I was shopping around, I went to another dealer my uncle works at as a parts manager to see if I could get a better deal on my trade (an 04 Forester turbo). When the bone breath salesman gave me a figure on a basically stripped down 5.3 silverado in a god-awful color, I laughed and told him I could get the 6.0 Performance edition for $17 more a month. Then he told me that the truck I was talking about doesn't exist. He told me its an HD 2500. So I didnt argue with him any further about it, but when I bought it I stopped by. I said come take a look at the truck that doesnt exist. It was satisfying. As far as the trans, I think its the 4l60e, but it said heavy duty trans on the window sticker...

Kit should be here friday and be going on next week...

thanks for the welcome; yeah I dont know which trans it is, I'll figure it out. The truck feels pretty good stock, turbo should really make a difference. I cant really afford it, but thats where the ol' credit card comes in... work a few extra days here and there...its worth it

I'd really like some info to. I didn't know these existed. I wanted a Texas truck until I saw they were 2wd SS's. Thanks
