    Rear end ratio help/suggestions needed

Well after hitting a curb at 50 mph due to a dumb lady that almost T-boned me and wife I now have a bent left rear axle tube and am wanting to get some inputs and suggestions on what ratio would be best for my set up. I do mainly short drives around town and tow maybe 2 times out of the month on the freeways . I'm going to double check but I'm almost certain I have 3.23 gearing now ( yes mpg is horrible lol)

Just to add I now have 33s because I had to replace my knuckles ,ball, joints, wheel bearings ,leaf springs and the works because of this lady and they only offered a 3 inch lift spindle vs my 4 inch up front and the 35s rubbed everything after the one inch drop. This i Costing me a fortune .

Thanks And if you know someone or have one let me know

If you are lifted, and running 33s or 35s, doing mostly in town driving I would say 4.10s. If you ever plan on going 35s or larger go ahead and go 4.56s.

By the way GU5 would be 3.23 gears.

I would go 4.30s or 4.56 for a mainly in town truck or 4.10s for a highway truck. I wouldn't hesitate on 4.56s on 35s or larger.

I have had 33's, 35's, and 37's, on 4.56, and 4.88. I have a 2wd ECSB 5.3 with intake tune and muffler. Occasionally I tow 7000# and weekly tow 4500#. Right now it's on 35's with 4.56. If I didn't tow so much I would have done 4.30's for the lower freeway RPM. I ran these gears on the 33's as well and it was nicer around town but the freeway RPM got old real fast when taking a longer trip. I have 4.10 on my Yukon with 33's and wish it had a little more but it is also totally stock.

My choice would be based on how much I tow and spend on the freeway.

Well right now I usually only tow a small enclosed 6x12 enclosed trailer with a atv ,generators ,coolers and stuff mainly for camping.on the freeways I always have to keep it in tow mode and sometimes I even have to just keep it in 3rd because the downshift is just a little much and it will not pick up or maintain speed on the slightest up hill and there's really not any in Houston .I think the 4.56 would be a little much and really dont plan on going back to 35s so I have been also thinking 4.30s .
Right now I usually get 220 mpt (miles per tank) city and that's premium fuel .

I have the 4l60e that took 4 rebuilds to get it where it's at now and surprisingly it's holding strong . But eventually doing a 80e or selling the truck by then lol
