I just got done swapping the thermostat out in my 05 silverado I put a 160 slp unit in Then took it out for test spin temp still reads right about 210 WHAT IN THE !@?#&# has anyone else done this?

Are your fan temps tuned for it? It may still read 210, but could be alot lower, that temp guage is just a dummy guage.

How do the new '05 elect fans stage? Are they variable speed or 2 or 3 speed? Do they come on if the engine is cold and the A/C is on? Curious how they programmed them.
