Any suggestions on a what camshaft I can purchase to uprade my performance?

I have an 01 silverado with a 4.8..I installed a cat back flowmaster dual exhaust..put on some shorty headers, cold air heat sheild intake, and max energy performance chip already..Im a newbie to all these upgrades so Im still learning..Ive been thinking of my next move..Ive been reading about the LS7 camshaft..is this a good choice and if I swapped out OE for this camshaft, should a replace the springs as well in order to see an actual difference in the performance..thanks for any input

Do more research on this site. Search "cam" and read 10-15 threads start to finish. That should give you a good understanding of what you should do for max gains.

I'd look into other boltons before a cam. Long tube headers, higher stall torque converter, lower gears, and a custom tune.

Anyone else thinking we're being trolled? Shitty programmer (and calling it a chip). Shitty exhaust. Shitty headers. And wanting an OE cam that will be 40 times more hassle then return? Come on.

I agree with Frenchy.....Max energy performance chip? Seriously? But he can spend time researching cam swaps.....

piss poor effort, he didn't mention anything about a throttle body spacer.

Poor Allen spent all that time doing the 100 HP on a budget thread ..... 3 threads a week like this must be a slap in the face!

I wonder what kind of gains he picked up after applying the Flowmaster sticker to his rear window? He forget to mention it, so maybe he's sandbaggin on the forum

Dush bags like this make me not want to open a thread anymore. Same old stuff over and over. Do some reading and searching this subject has been more than covered on this site.
