What a hell of a difference between stock and Nelson's. He's got a fine tune thats for sure.

I tried to learn the crank angle--some reason it won't learn. Yes I tried with a Tech II and a macto scan tool. I called allen and another pcm is going out today.

I had it tuned for 89-93, abuse mode off, throttle body open during shifts, NO torque management on the engine/trans, and a few other things.

I also had the shift firmed up a bit @ WOT--it turned out to be a bit much for me. That sucker shifts HARD going 1-2...thats as fast as I got to the top of 2nd and I backed off. I was a bit worried about the hard shifting and asked to see if he could turn it back about 40-50% on the firmness. I'd like the trans to last so I can drive the wheels off ol' clampey.

All in all it's a night and day difference. For now I'm gonna stay off the throttle till I get the new tune and the angle relearned.

Not sure what the rev limiter is set at but when I snapped the throttle I let it go to about 5800-5900...

    We'll see!

congrats on the tune. the firm shifts was my favorite part! allen fixed my shift hesitation between 1 and 2 and it feels like a totally different truck on the 2-3.

I'm a bit concerned about the hard shifts @ WOT. I plan to keep the truck till the wheels fall off so longevity is the key. I asked him to soften them back up a bit and hopefully I can get the crank angle relearned.

I'm still driving on the new nelson pcm and man that sucker is like night and day. Even the wife noticed it when she drove it. 1st thing she said was "wow the truck feels 50x stronger, it dosent feel like I have a huge trailer behind me"

    Stupid TM...

Damn, that truck sounds f'in bad asssss..

The new pcm should be here wednesday. I'll have an update.

The more I drive this sucker the more power it feels like it's getting? I really still can't believe the difference a computer would make. It truely shows how much GM holds back on these trucks.
