    5.3 Power ?

OK I have a 2000 Z-71, I put a 5.3 from an 05 avalanche, Heres what iv done so far, 4.10 gears, K&N cold air kit, Flowmaster 40 series single pipe, trinity programmer, with the rear O2 delete done. corvette servo, throttle body spacer,. Im looking on adding long tube headers, and a BBK Throttle body real soon. What kind of gains can I see from these? Also keep in mind I drive from louisiana to west tx every week for work, What else should I do to beef power up? AFacebookHomescreenImage_3.jpgnd what gains would I get? Thanks

I would loose the trinity programmer and get a custom tune from Nelson performance or the likes. Swap the flowmaster for a magnaflow. Loose the throttle body spacer. Get some long tubes from calspeed. Get a p&p throttle body instead of the bbk. Underdrive pulley. Drive it and love it. If you want more you will need to do more serious mods...... Cam stall etc.

I also have the Trinity on my truck and I love it, my favorite thing about it is the live monitoring function. My last truck was a 5.3, and I had experimented with the BBK throttle body. All I can tell you is you need to get a tune with it, mine ran so rich untuned that It dripped black soot from the tail pipes. Good luck with your mods!!

the bbk will be a waste of money with a stock truck, the throttle body spacer is just adding weight to your truck, get some longtubes and a better flowing exhaust ie magnaflow, and get a custom tune. youre prolly about 20 horses over stock right now, with a bbk and longtubes youll prolly gain about 25 horses, with just longtubes youll gain about 25 horses.
