    Front y pipe

I want to do this swap in my 95 GMC Sierra regular cab stepside. I will most likely use a 5.3 but what have you guys been doing for a y pipe I would be using stock manifolds and try to put a cat in it somehow?

Not sure this is relivant, but I tried using the stock Y-pipe in an OOBS (73-87) and it wouldn't work due to driveshaft clearance. It may on a OBS like yours, if the driveshaft is on the drivers side. Even still it still hands down pretty low and may interfere. I ended up cutting mine just above the cats, using the flanges so I could connect to the stock manifolds, and built a custom exhaust of the flange ends.
