    New guy.. 91 C1500 with an LQ4

Hey guys I've been browsing the forum for a while but decided to join up today. Here is a pic of my current truck..

It is currently bagged, but I am going to be going back to a static setup soon. The motor is an LQ4 with a Comp cam, push-rods, springs, and a set of schoenfeld long tubes. The tranny is a 4L60E. I will be posting up a build thread here soon, but for now I am still collecting parts for the new build up.

Nice truck man! I am in the process of doing a stock floor body drop and an ls motor swap, its hard to tell because you truck is parked in the grass, but looks like yours is body dropped as well, I am wondering how much hood clearance you have with the lq4?? If you have any more under hood shots would be awesome!! Thanks

You are correct, the truck is body dropped. There were a few issues with clearance. First of all the tranny tunnel was not big enough for the 4L60E, so we modified that. Next, the Schoenfeld headers barely touched up against the firewall on the passenger side, all we did was notch out a small section for it to clear. The only other issue I have is with the stock truck style intake, the hood will not close with the middle engine cover on. My plan was to swap the intake for a LS1 style. Hope this helps..

Here's the only other pic I have on my PC..
