    Pushed length and LS7 lifters

Title says it all. What length pushrod should be used with ls7 lifters and a comp cam?

most likely 7.4's...its always best to measure tho. You want anywhere from .060" to .1" of lifter preload with the ls7 lifters. Most try to shoot for .080" since its right in the middle

Ls7 lifters are no different, measurement wise. GM now uses LS7's as standard replacements across the LS board. You go buy brand new 4.8 lifters you get LS7's. So the pushrod length required doesn't change.

Look into this some more inside cup height is different then older ls lifters. Reason why alot of cam manufactures are supplying 7.425

Thanks for the replies. Went with 7.4 pushrods when I built the motor. Have some occasional valve train noise.

My cam required 7.425s but Zach ran it with 7.4s. Best way to check is to just buy a length checker. They're cheap and easy to use.
