    Been Lurking for Years

Hi Everyone. Thanks in advance for welcoming me to the forum. I've been lurking here for a long time but never have contributed. I own a 95 GMC C1500 I bought it in Arizona in 2001 with a hundred thousand miles on it. It now has 235,000mi. It's a great truck but has suffered in the paint department. The clear is shot on the hood and the doors are faded. The rest has had work done so it looks much better than what it had. Also, the dash is brittle and seems to crumble a little more each year. You guys know what that's like. A new GM dash is 900 before you have to pay for dye and there's no aftermarket solution. I'm thinking about making a reproduction dash better stronger and faster but maybe later after I get some capital. What do you think? Is there demand for a new dash that's built better than the OEM?

I take this truck everywhere when I'm not on my Ducati Monster. Of course I bought the bike to save on fuel costs (and because it's sexy). The truck only gets 11 to the gallon. Poor thing. The air conditioner died last October and I haven't repaired it. I'm holding out for what I consider a better use of the money, a 6 liter LS. Oh yeah! Afterall, I can get a used one for what it would const me to replace the air conditioning compressor.

What have I done for mods? Well the first thing to go was the air cleaner. I opted for a 14 x 3 open element. It makes the intake sound great. I did an injector spacer and adjustable fuel pressure regulator with a new in-tank pump. It has a Crane Cams ignition controller and coil with Accel U-Groove plugs and the high temp truck wires. I replace the fuel filter annually because these engines are really sensitive to pressure changes. If you let the filter go it will starve the engine. Take my word for it. What else can I tell you about my truck? Overall it's great! GM makes a fantastic machine.

Recently I began a business. I hope that it's okay to tell you about it here. I don't want to get axed for sounding like a commercial but I do want to get the word out about what I'm doing, afterall it's a product for we truckers. I make custom and production model cargo solutions for light duty trucks. I started by modeling my own pickup. My units are Polyuerethane encapsulated containers. They are modular and don't require mounting hardware. What more is that they make economical use of the bed in a way that does not interfere with any of the original functionality. I hope that you can check out my brochure (http://simplebooklet.com/publish.php#wpKey=r3ciQLTs1qHaXkZa6mT8wO#page=0). I believe that now is the time for small enterprise to thrive. Out of that will come, innovation, and prosperity (jobs).

Thanks for letting me introduce myself. If any of you have a 6.0 LS to sell me shoot me a PM.

He drives a high mileage OBS with some boltons that don't mean much, but he wants to swap in a 6.0. His AC went out and instead of fixing it he is saving the money for a 6.0. He also is asking if anyone is selling one.
His Daily is a Ducati Monster.
He also plugged a bed organizer thing he produces.
    Just for you G!
