Thread: p0405 with tune

    i was out driving and i noticed my check engine light was on. i put down that i was removing the egr on the nelson tune. am i supposed to do something special with the egr wires or do you think they forgot to remove the egr from the computer.
    1999 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3 ecsb auto, corsa, Edelbrock shorties, K&N intake, Nelson tune, egr is gone, 160 thermo, eaton lsd, motive 3.73s, tci 3000 ,beefed up 4l60e.

    Probably forgot to remove the EGR from the computer, how in the world did you get the EGR hose bolt to budge from the manifold?

    DTC Definition:
    EGR Flow Sensor A Circuit Low Input
    03 SIlverado LS SCLB 4.8 w/ 3.42 rear, K&N FIPK, mild catbak duals, vette servo and a few other things added.

    ive got headers so i had to break the bolts loose before. they actually came loose easily.

    scroach20, i just noticed we had almost an identical setup, I am actually thinking about Edelbrock shorties too. lol

    Did you have to put anything on the bolts to break them loose?

    the bolts came loose originally when soaked with pb blaster. just keep blasting and let it sit for awhile. the Edelbrocks do turn black after a couple of years but its not like rust. i never cleaned them though so i dont know if thats the reason.

    im still waiting on my tranny to be done. then its going in with the stall. after it is broken in i will see what i can do.

    would p0405 mess with my timing or anything. ive had to drive it for the past week but i dont have to drive it for the next week. just want to make sure it doesnt screw up anything.
