    A/C New or Used

Looking at putting AC back on the truck. Never had it on with the 5.3. Which AC parts can be bought used, and which can be bought new?

Getting a lil hot for you david! Lol. You can get the ac compressor used as well as the tensioner. The receiver/drier should be purchased new as well as the orifice tube. The are pretty cheap. Do you still have the line and condensor?

because i have done 2 ac jobs on these trucks i would buy a new compressor just because of how much of a pain it is remove/install, everthing else is pretty easy to get at. I do know that the line that holds the orfice tube is a dealer only item and i paid around $80 bucks for it- that was somebody that owned a shop buying it at their ''cost''.
    5.3 2wd upgrades: Nelson tune, stainless lt's, magnaflow, e-fans, msd's, cai.

Do you have any salvage yards near you? Nice thing about the lines is they all simply bolt together. I could take pics of my truck however because its an suv one of the lines will look differnt.
