02 silverado with 09 engine upgrade

i bought an 02 silverado 4.8 with 260k on the odometer at a local auction here in houston. it runs great and i use it as my daily driver but it has quite a bit of miles and the engine its on its way out (engine knocking and bad lifter). i got a hold of an 09 5.3 with 18k miles on it from a friend who did an ls2 swap. i paid less than 500 for it complete minus the front accessories as of right now i ordered the front cam sensor extension harness and an ls2 to ls1 knock sensor conversion from racetronix i tapped the knock sensor locations on the side of the block and threaded it for the pre 07 knock sensors i pulled out the dod lifters and added regular hydraulic lifters, i swapped the 58x reluctor wheel to a 24x reluctor wheel. as far as internal mods im just gonna add an ls7 cam, ls6 springs and 7.4 hardened pushrods and get it tuned. i was wondering if anyone else has done a similar engine swap here?

they did it on an older model. silverado (94 i think) im leaving it pretty much stock other than the mods i listed since i work turnarounds alot out of state. the engine it has now took me to charleston south carolina and back with no issues ( knock on wood ) im hoping this new engine will last the same if not exceed what this one has now
