first order of buisness you need to know the basics of a motor
next you need to know youre way around basic knowledge of AFR and timing
then you need to know about shift points and pressures
also need to know basics of vaccum

you also need to know how to use a computer somewhat lol

if you have a clue about these and you have years to devote to it then it is the best purchase you can do. you dont buy the software and become a TUNER in a month. it takes time and theres always new tricks or things you learn

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

And it really helps to have someone who does know it walk you through it, you can read every single book and write up but it really doesn't make sense until you see someone do it and put all the reading to use. At least for me anyway.

Trust me... the first time you open HPT you'll want to kill yourself. It helps knowing some guys that are pretty good at it.

I've had it for a solid 8 months, redone by truck a bajillion times. There's times I still want to put a stock file in it, run over my laptop and just give away my cable. Then drink heavily.
