    1. 2001 model, loaded, 3.42s, tow pakcage, CD, keyless, LS, 5.3, locker, etc, etc. Has right at 78k miles. bedliner, soft bed cover, guy says will let it go for 9k (payoff) The bad, has a rebuilt title, previous front damage. the remotes gone for the keyless, and the LSD seems like it isn't working too great from his description.

2: 2002 Similar to above, but not sure on the options this one has. From the ad. RC, 5.3, 33.5k miles, haven't got ahold of the person selling it yet though. Asking 12,900 Also an LS.

What do you guys think, sound like good deals? Both just have the regular bed and I really wanted stepside, but both look good in the pictures in the trader (both red). Should I look further into either one of these? Should I keep looking? I was looking at Lightnings, but they are too pricey for the miles, and I really don't trust them (trannys, unpredictable spark plug launching, bad interv\coolers on the 99-00 nmodels, et,c, etc. i am also looking at Dak R/Ts. Before you try to tell me they are garbage, realize I have over 75k miles of experience of driving/modding, running my bro's 99 R/T (it has 1-02k realtively trouble free miles, oprigional tranny with no rebuilds still shifts like new, etc, etc). I know what they run, what mods they like and how easy they are to really get to move. They are small though (but them and the FSCs are roughly the same weight regular cab to regular cab). i also think the 5.3 would get better gas mileage. Anyways, anyone else know of any good deals in the Eastern Ky area?

    thanks, Brian

I'd stay far from stuff with a salvage title... my bud got suckered into that once with a Civic Si, nothing but trouble. It's better off as a Farm Truck, Demo Derby, or Drag Vehicle. Very little resale too.

I agree stsy away from the rebuilt truck. The 2002 seems good. What does Kelly blue book say about the value of those trucks? www.kbb.com Also find the truck you want i.e. stepside bed ect.

Thanks guys, i have been to get a hold of the owner of the 02 truck all evening, but it either just rings or i get a busy signal. oh well. Yeah, i think I will stay w\away from the 01 as being rebuilt i would be weary and also think that 9k is a bit high for a truck with a rebuilt title. Anyone know of a nice 01-02 stepsid in the Eastern Ky area for 11k or less?
