    Nitrous and Boost...bench talk.

I couldn't pass up a deal last night on a brand new Harris Speedworks "Sudden Impact" dry kit. Its 50-125 shot. I had been running only 6psi on stock pump and injectors but now have twin walbro 255's on a return system and 75lb RC Engineering injectors. So i'll probably be going to 10psi. I don't need it to spool this small turbo (a/r .60 cold and a/r .81 hot) but for the sake of ET's... is a 50 or 75 shot going to be safe on this engine through a 3" open dp? The dry kits from HSW also include an Interface air/fuel and timing controller that plugs inline with your IAT sensor and MAF. It pulls anywhere from 3 to 8 degrees of timing as well as adding the proper amount of fuel via the ECM and fuel system, depending on what size shot you have the controller set on. I just wonder how this is going to work with the nelson tune. I have boost, EGT, and fuel pressure gauges right now, but i am going to purchase a wideband gauge asap to keep an eye on it.
Any input is welcome.. I just wanna hear some advice from people more educated than myself on this.

BTW... My whole intention of this install is to spool the 88mm and 4" dp i'll be installing later on this summer. Maybe a 100shot off the line until the boost comes in....

Definitely not without tuning. And remember the amount you spray when boosted basically doubles. So a 100 off the line is similar to a 200 on a non boosted motor.

Well.. i gave it a "shot" last night... lmao.. no pun intended! 100 shot off the launch with .5 sec delay after brakes released and WOT combined... which kicks off at 10 psi. Feels like its gonna make for a pretty sick 60ft for this big heavy 4x4. I do have a momentary rich condition when it kicks on... that causes a slight stumble, which i should be able to rememdy with the progamming of the HSW interface... It has a fuel enrichment delay feature to let the N2O reach the injectors before the timing retard and fuel enrichment. Since i have a small turbine and a 3" dp... i had to turn the manual boost controller down a few pounds... seems as tho the nitrous wants to spool the turbo beyond the wastegate which normally can hold it at 10 psi easily... its about a 3 psi boost creep during the short time spraying... any remedy for this? Its a 38mm tial...
