Tyler Area Meet

Lately i've noticed a rash of custom chevies around palestine andjust north of here. I was wondering how many member we have in the area and if you all would like to have a small meet, Possibly in tyler or somewhere nearby. I've tried my hand at recruiting some new members, but for the most part there are alot of lame duck excuses because frankly, alot of people don't have any experience with car clubs or only forums. And lets face it, car clubs were very exclusive in the past and a lot of people are fairly reluctant due to that fact. So if you have any friends in the area and would like to meet somewhere a little more local. I'm definately down for it.

I'm in Mabank, about an hour South West of Tyler and I would definitely be insterested in some local stuff going on.

I'm an old guy, but back in the day we had a pretty nice truck club called "Necessary Objects".

We always had between 25 to 30 trucks in the club and used to meet up at least once a month.

Every year we all tried to travel to Heat Wave together which was a lot of fun.

Not a lot of really fast trucks, mostly all show trucks, some of which we pulled on large car haulers.

Anyways, enough blabbing from me, just let me know if something develops and I'm sure I can get a hand full of trucks to come out.

I think there are alot of people from this area who are on other forums. I got in next to a guy last night coming around the loop here in palestine. He was driving a red 99-02 Regular cab step side with what sounded like a single turbo on a 4.8L or 5.3L. He had several decals on the back window for parts companies, but no forum affiliations that I could see. I'm going to hunt around and see if i can find him again.

Performance trucks more than likely... All the"cool" use it majority of the time... Which is why Im here cause i hate the pissing contest in there...
