    running e85

    i have an 04 flex fuel 5.3 in a 84 pickup i was wondering can i run e85 without the flex fuel sensor

    I have the sensor but idk how it was routed in the fuel system

    yes you can run E85 with out a sensor, you have to tune for using the E85 fuel tho.

    set your stoich value to 8.95 then start tweaking the tune, pulling fuel from idle and adding fuel to WOT

    Well, ok yeah you can do that, but you have to exclusively use E85. I assumed he meant like the factory Flex Fuel function.

    It originally was inline between the pump and fuel rail fitting. Place it there and wire it up and the system should function as normal as long as your tune hasn't been altered to eliminate the sensor.
