    Oil Pump question

This may be a dumb question. BUT here it goes. On the oil pump where the pump meets the block is that a machined face so that there is no need of a gasket or sealer needed where they meet? I cant find a gasket that goes there. No directions I've seen so far have anything about putting anyting kind of gasket except the o-ring on the pickup tube. Need this answered asap guys. Thanks.
If there isnt a gasket would it be a good idea to put a sealer on it?

You dont need to put anything there. Just bolt the oil pump straight to the block unless you are using a double roller chain.
