    crankshaft pin

What exactly does it mean when someone says "pin the crankshaft" ? I've heard of this but I have no clue what it means.

Keeps the balancer from slipping on the crank. Supercharged guys do it, basically the force it takes to turn the blower overcomes the press fit of the balancer/pulley

You drill a hole in the crank and pulley and insert a pin that prevents the pulley from spinning seperate from the crank. This is a picture from silveradoss.com
