I am pretty sure you stand to be corrected I have the same truck with the same project I was working on it last night and looked right at the pedal assembly, try pulling all the carpet and rubber away from it, I could be wrong I am keeping mine cable operated due to some issues I had on my 2006 silverado DBW!

He is right, sort of.... Look at the giant bracket the pedal is attached to. It has the brake pedal attached to it too. The whole thing unbolts and you have to replace it with one for the DBW pedal.

Well dude the way I see it for the simpicity drive by cable is far less complicted you can put any size TB on it you want provided the right size manifold is there GM only uses the system for traction control and driveability, less stuff to go wrong and all these trucks have the cruise control plug on the firewall you just have to plug it in and change the windshield wiper control handle with a cruise control assembly like I did and none of it goes through the BCM so no programing is required!

Im going too cut the DBC peddle out of the truck, then weld the DBW one in. When i bought the 5.3 i bought it 100% complete with the Ecu and all so i shouldnt have to reprgram anything. I hope!
