    Need ac help!

The ac compressor clutch on my truck kicks in when I turn on the ac but never cycles no matter what speed I set it on. I can rev it to hell and it stays on. I had gauges connected to it and the high pressure is normal but the low is to high. All the freon was sucked out, the orfice tube replaced, the correct amount of freon put back in, low pressure sensor replaced , and the cabin filter replaced with no results. The mechanic said my next option was "exploratory surgery". Is there anything I can try myself cuz the mechanic charges an arm and leg.

what was the low and high side pressure at?low side should be 35-45 and high side should be 225-275 at a idle.is the a/c blowing cold at idle?

Really need to see the gauges to give you a better ideal of what is happening. how many miles are on the truck, do you drive this truck down in the pasture or is it strictly street driven, any mods to truck, all things that that I have questions too. If you don't have gauges and your mechanic told you " exploratory surgery " I think I might get a second opinion from someone else. If compressor want pull pressure down it probably needs a compressor. I guess it could have a issue with clutch fan or debris not allowing air flow but you would have high press on the high side too. Really need too see them pressures.

Ill get the exact pressures. the high was around 250-260 and the low was around 50-55. if I reved it the high pressure went up but the low just stayed the same. the mechanic told me the compressor was fine. The truck is street driven and has 133000 miles I replaced the stock air box with a K&N shield and filter and have a throttle body spacer. The intake tube is stock though. Ill hook up the guages again tomorrow and get the exact pressures since I don't remember

55 is and 250 is ok at idle.when u reve it up the low side should go down alil.just means compressor is pumping good.the high side shouldn't go over 275 even when u reve it up.if it does blow ur condensor out.if you still have clutch fan.it could be bad.o5 e-fans would help cooling freon down alot
