    Oil Pressure Gauge

So while my wifes car is at the body shop, the loaner we got is a 2010 Dodge Ram. I was driving it the other day and noticed the oil pressure gauge doesn't move when driving. On my 04 Silverado, the needle will go up when I accelerate and drop when I let off the gas. Shouldn't the Dodge do it too or is mine not supposed to?

My sisters 08 RAM oil pressure gauge barley moves, Might just be a dodge thing?

Yes yours should move from 40ish to 55ish during normal acceleration and around 70-80 at WOT

Dodge's "gauge" isn't really a gauge. I think they do the same as Ford and make an idiot light into a fake gauge. It's basically an on/off switch (it's either in the safe zone, or it's in the danger zone. Not the same as a real pressure gauge like Chevy uses

Thats exactly what it is dodge and ford just make that gauge basically an on or off type deal. Kind of pointless I think
