hose running from intake to valve cover??

i have a hose that runs from the intake to the valve cover on the driver side of the motor. it has kinda like a filter i guess u'd call it at the end that goes into the valve cover, what is this hose for? its making a noise and bother me, kinda like i guess the filter part is loose maybe? and kinda feels like the trucks not as powerful or however u wanna say it, cause used to its spin nicely from a 20 and now not as much

Yea, just replace the pcv valve, hose goes from top center of intake to rear of driver valve cover, correct?

The hose you are talking about is the PCV. Valve. If i'm not mistaken in relieves crank case pressure. If its making a noise it may have a leak, you need to check into that.

it is supposed to rattle though. The grommet might be bad or the hose could be dry-rotting if it's making a 'leaking' noise. Just get some 3/8" hose and reroute it.

They are not very expensive. I had one case in my buddies truck where the valve was built into the valve cover. Had to buy a whole new valve cover. If its bad it will make you truck run bad also.

yea i'd say the valve yall are refering to is bad. i'll replace it and see, cause my truck doesnt seem to spin as easy as it used to so im guessing its lack of power due to this issue, and no its not making a leaking noise im 110% sure of that.
