    4L65E Transmission, Torque Converter Problems

Alright I heard it from alot of you and I knew it was only a matter of time before my tranny or tc or rearend went out. I just installed my full length headers with true dual 3" pipes into Dynomax bullets. After getting on it a couple of times my transmission or tc is totally slipping. Also an idiot light stating that the Stabilitrack and traction control keeps flashing stating that they need service. Out of curiosity i still have a warranty on my truck but I'm not sure if Chevy will cover my transmission, tc or rearend. being that I have these aftermarket parts as well as a Vortech Supercharger. Can anyone help me out.

has your computer been tuned to adjust the air/fuel for the supercharger? if so i know for a fact they wont cover it. and what do you mean its slipping? does it slip going into the gears, or what? may be the clutch band, just a idea.

I'm not sure, but probably. Vortech programmed it for me with my Diablosport. With the slipping i mean that the truck will rev higher than usual when downshifting or just upshifting. I don't know too much about automatics so i thougt it was either the tc or the clutches in the tranny.

if its reving higher before changing its possiblely the clutch band not holding the drum for it to change, if so thats a reasonablely quick and cheap fix since a clutch band is only around 30 bucks and its behind the pump at the front of the tranny so you dont have to tear the whole tranny down. i would drain the fluid and check to see if there is any friction material in it. thatd be something you can do in your drive way and atleast get a idea of where to look
