    PerformaBuilt tranny.. who has one?

For the last year, I had been planning on buying a FLT trans. After some recent horror stories, I have been looking for another brand. I found PerformaBuilt, their warranty seems pretty decent, and the prices aren't terrible. They give actual HP ratings, but require you buy THEIR torque converter. For a 12" 2300-2500 stall, it is $2300, for a 9.5" 2600-5000 stall it is $2500

I have been looking at their level 2, which is supposedly good to 700hp.

Does anyone have a trans from them? How is it holding up, how is customer service, etc, etc.

I bought a level 1 months ago, but haven't installed it yet. The price included shipping and there was no core charge, the transmission showed up spotless and looked like new, and the customer service was excellent.

I have a performabuilt level 3 with my own pi 2600 triple disc converter. I make around 450hp and have 35" tires with a 6300lb truck and it shifts hard enough to chirp my big ass tires. no complaints from it, and frank is a nice guy. If you call he will give you $100 off.

awesome, I have 36's, and am hoping for around 400hp, so should hold up great. Did you buy his converter then switch for a different one? I was kinda thinking about buyin his cheapest converter (to get the extended warrant), then just throwing a circle D in it

performabuilt LVL2 with 440 to the rear wheel and a 250 shot on tap. only sprayed 150 so far though. frank told me that it should hold the 250 fine. hell, he gave me permission to install a trans-brake.
