Question have a question in regards to a tahoe frame

ok guys im planning on turning my 03 tahoe into a show truck, im planning on powder coating the frame and suspension stuff. im gonna do all the cleaning up and prepping myself. i asked the guy from the powder coating shop if there is any serial #'s or vin # on the frame that i need to watch out for, he said no.

Im pretty sure there is some serial #'s or vin # on that frame.

    Does anyone know for sure?

Yep there are hidden numbers on it. Dont worry about them. Powder coating the new frames is a nightmare. They dip them in coating so that crap is everywhere. No matter how many times you bake the frame it creeps out of seams. And you will have problem areas.

I would not worry about where they are. FBI knows though. A guy back home bought and financed a jeep once. He was called out of work to check on the guys in suits crawling under it. Turns out the numbers had been changed and it was stolen. They used the hidden numbers to id the jeep. He had to pay the loan and the jeep was towed away.
