    I Win!

Just bought myself a new TIG welder, its only DC though, so i can't weld Aluminum. But I will be welding stainless. If you guys have any little projects that will ship cheaply, i'll do some Pro Bono work for practice. As in free. I'm going to try and build some Shorty headers for fun first.

I Bought the welder on ebay for super cheap. It made by a company in China. Most of the time, its risky buying that stuff. But this one is awesome, i guess chinese stuff has gotten up to speed lately. Its a Collosal Tech S200, 200amp-TIG/150amp-MMA. I'm working on getting a wire feeder for it to use it as a power source for mig welding. If i can do all of that, i'll have a MIG, TIG, and stick welder all in one.

And yeah, i could build a set of headers for s 4.3L, I even have some SBC flanges i made that could be cut down to fit the 4.3L's 3 ports.

After a lot of practice on smaller things I installed a roll cage kit in a friends Camaro when I first got my TIG. He did most of the work and I did the welding. It was a fun experience and it turned out really nice.

I went crazy when I first got mine. I was welding everything trying to get good at it, it takes a steady hand and lots of practice.

If you're new to TIG I'd do a whole lot of practicing on scrap metal before I tried to weld something that counts. And before you start practicing you probably need to do a lot of reading.

    Just my
