On the 2001. Get rid of it.
Pros: less crap in the engine bay, cleaner intake, get rid of a restriction behind the TB.
Cons: need tune to eliminate codes.

can a dealership clear the codes or do you need the tune.
If you're not having problems with it, why not leave it alone? Lower emissions and using less fuel.

It actually helps lower combustion temperatures and lowers fuel consumption while cruising. During idle and WOT it's not in use.
