    Is it good?

    Is 145.4 degrees a good operating temp for my trans??

    depends on the outside temp...under 200 is good

    Nominal operating temperature for these trannys is in the 175ºF neighborhood. This is where they're designed to run. Running a lot cooler than this is not necessarily better.

    I would assume that the colder is not always better since the fluid does not move as well under colder situations and may not provide adequate lubrication. While I agree with this to an extent, it is definitely better than running hotter, IMO. On average, my trans temps stay in the 140-160 range.

    i still think its fine, i wouldnt want it much colder. but i wouldnt consider it too cold by any means. and like sleaper said, better than running too hot!

    I know right, I'm a dick. But I didn't know we were in a damn tea room with the ladies. Just figured if the OP was looking for info and another poster had some why just leave it open ended. Fill us all in with info.
