What exhaust manifolds fit 73-87 trucks?

I have a 01 tahoe drivetrain with a 5.3 installed and am working on the exhaust before i get this thing started. The prbolem i am having is with the passenger side manifold. It is hitting on the egr port near the motor mount plate on the truck. I have ground the manifold down to the point i cant go any more without jeoprodizing the seal of the egr pipe. I can grind the motor mount plate but i dont know if that would be a good idea. It is the plate that the motor mounts bolt to that runs between the crossmember and the frame. Sits at a 45. I am looking for any ideas here but i have to retain all smog compnents. Thanks for the help in advance

on my 82 c10 5.3L swap i used envoy denali manifolds and they clear good. I didnt have to cut or trim anything. theres some truck manifolds in the for sale section, you might want to get those they dont have the egr port. delete the egr it will look cleaner, you dont need it.

If you swap a newer engine in a truck that old in Cali they check the emissions???? WTF

when you swap the newer motor in to any vehicle in cali they smog it to the standards of the motor you put in. So my 79 truck will be smogged to 2001 standards.

My manifolds hug the block pretty well too its just the egr port that rubs....gotta find one that doesnt

I did some searching last night and found some pictures of some 99-02? F-body manifolds and they look to have both EGR ports on the top portion of the manifold that would be exaclty what i need to clear the mounts. Now i just need to find a cheap set. Wife is already mad at my budget this month and i still need fuel lines!

later engines dont have the egr pipes get ride of it and block off the hole at the engine!!! to block off the hole cut the pipe where its conected at the point it bolts to the inlet and cap it !!!! that what i did !!!later engines dont have the pipe !!!!

I am not sure what year later engines start but mine has it and since i am using that year as my swap platform good old california says i have to retain that gear so EGR must stay on there. I have HP tuners and once i get my fuel lines i will start it and see if i can tune the air/egr out not get a code with it blocked off. If i can then i may be able to make a blockoff plate and make it look operational. From what i hear all they check for is the readiness tests passing.......
