Have ls1 cam installed want bigger

I have a ls1 cam out of a 2000 vette specs are 198/209 500 and 115.5 lsa. I am happy with the engine swap i did but looking to do a bigger cam without sacrificing the idle just wondering your guys thoughts on what i should do. My main concern is driveability but I would like to get more power as well

Since you dont want the rough idle look into something around a 112-114 LSA

I read in another thread you have a 5.3 right?

Comp Cams 212/218 high lift or Thunder Racing TR 220 will do you good.

114 LSA for a smooth idle or 116 LSA for a stealth idle.

whats your compression? whats your mods other the LS6 intake, an milled heads. what gears? what stall?

honestly a friend of mine went 14.7 w a cai, catless exhaust, tune an a small cam like a 212 or a 216 on a 114. he put a yank3000 an LTs an now he cant keep it straight out the hole with 3:42s. it pulls like there's no end from a roll.

    need more info please

I have a 2100 stall now which i was told was stock in a vette. catless exhaust with long tube headers. I just want a fun truck to daily drive that i might take to the track a couple of times. I own a repair shop in mesa arizona. I wish i would have done more research on this sight before getting started on this project. I didnt know much about performance on these trucks before and now i would like to start selling performance mods for these trucks.
