NEED 08 5.3 knock sensor wiring diagram plz

i have a 2008 5.3 block the cam still has to come out. Jon @ Nelson Performance is making my wiring harness an we ran into a snag thanks to the 2 wires of the knock sensors. he said i can drill an tap the side of the block to put the older type knock sensor. i dont want to have to do that, so is there anyone that can tell me how we can use the 08 knock sensors an wire it into the 99-02 wiring harness he's making? we have the knock sensor pig tails so maybe theres a way to make them work with the older computer. please help!!!

    thank you!

Katech makes knock sensor extensions to use a gen4 block with a gen3 harness. Jonathan can just build longer wires in the harness for you. SDPARTS.com also sells Katech products.

Seems to me that if you're using a Gen3 PCM to control knock you need Gen3 sensors. Just my way of thinking.

i can see that logic but isnt it just a one way signal source with a given volt value? as long as value is same why cant the plug bechanged?

my knock sensor has 2 wires...like a blue an gray i believe..Jon @ NP has the pigtails.
it looks like those arent the same connectors as my pigtails(in that adapter harness) i dont think the gen IV has the same threads but i cant tell you.
why do they have to be so difficult with the gen IV blocks..dang.

yea tell me about it, you need a specfic year cam sprocket just to use it with a gen3 pcm
