    Just curious here but what are the symptoms when #7 pops?

    ~ Forged engine of some type ~ Ball bearing turbo of an unconfirmed size ~ 4L8000 trans ~ Beefy fuel system ~

    if your motor does have an issue with any of the pistons. you will consume oil, you will have blow by and youre idle wont be as steady as previous.

    if it gets to bad then you will have an oily tailpipe and push oil out any orifice capable of seeping oil.. you will look like a mosquito crop duster

    Do a compression check to verify. Mine ran fine with no noticable symptoms except it had excessive blow by. It would idle fine, not smoke and didn't sound bad. Compression check revealed a problem with #7. Of course, mine was just a busted ring land.

    +1 on all that. Same here with busted ring land on #7. Smoke out tailpipe on heavy acceleration. Compression check verified it though.
