    99 5.3

    can i use a newer z06 cam?

    a friend of mine hasa few used ones at his shop.

    can i put one in my 5.3

    Yes, but you wouldn't see a great deal of improvement. For your low end performance, I'd look more along the lines of a 212/218

    he is right. i put the 212/218 in and and i love it. got 35's on my truck and i can kick the truck sidways. u could always go bigger thought

    Soo this would be a good cam for my setup... with 33's and extended cab.
    Not wanting a stall.

    And i would go with a Comp Cam.
    04 Silverado Z-71 Extended Cab

    Magnaflow, 10.4 TV 50 wires, tr-55ix, Synthetics, HID's, JL audio, 33.5", leveling kit, tuned, CAI, vette servo, cam, valve job, pacesetter. 9.3@77.5 and 14.5@93.4

    custom cam, tune, 3.73's, servo, HID's, 10.4mm wires, long-tubes, CAI, magnaflow, 2.5" shackles, Circle-D 3200, UD, JL Audio 4.1, Alpine 5ch

    texas speed and performance has caught my eye.

    Those are more mid to upper range curves. You wont be impressed with the low end and no stall.

    Watch the language please. Also, a programmer would be useless. Get a real tune from someone like Nelson Performance.
