    LS1 heads ?

    i dont know if i need to be more specfic. what heads come on a 2000 LS1 motor?
    1982 c10 lsx swaped, NP tuned, true duals, 4:11s, trutrac, e-fans, CAI

    depends on what part of 00 it was made. later 00 had 241 heads
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost
    412 Motorsports

    a buddy of mine is selling LS1 heads cheap, but he says they are 843 heads are they any good for my 99 silvy 5.3L? right now its completly stock but i plan on getting a cam soon. or am i better off keping my heads?

    Mine came with 241.

    00' Ls1, TSP 228R - 228/228 .588/.588, Yank SST3200, Nelson tune, Nelson wiring harness,
    s&p headers, custom radiator with e-fans,
    91 sub front end with billet grill and bowtie,
    autometer gauges, red and grey tweed interior, dual 2.5" flowmaster super 40, Dmh cut outs, 5"-7" drop,
    air shocks, 20" Intro twisted vistas, gaylords bed cover
    Coming soon: Air ride with an SD raised front crossmember and 6 link canti out back

    Yes, they will fit. The 843 heads (on a LS1) have a 67cc size. The 862 heads you have now have a 61.15cc size. Throwing on those heads won't be good cause they really don't flow that much better and they will drop your CR, giving you a little more sluggish performance.

    compression on 5.3 will be 8.8 and they flow the same as your stock heads. So not worth it unless you were doing boost and watned a lower SCR
